Printmaking as Performance is the result of a collaboration between dance Studio Wayne McGregor and designers Madeline Smith, Elise Mower, Izzi Kelly and myself.
Responding to Wayne McGregor’s performance, ‘Tree of Codes’ and it’s association with narrative, our film narrated the process of producing a live cyanotype.
Inspired by Wayne McGregor’s
creative process, we aimed to
capture our own process as a
performance. Subsequently
combining two disciplines with an element of unpredictability.
Prioritising light, shadow and form, this collaboration explored the possibilities of capturing movement through an analogue means of image making.
